Seven The Hard Way– Poem 8..

I’d skip poem seven
we don’t need it
it feeds no one
Nor fuels or fools
but a pitiful few

like when I flew
to the District
to dicker with
The Just Us Depart-
ment

to say
I’ll play it your
way
trading my
Heyday
to example a
future
die-cast
by “facts”
and go
figure
