a melodrama
I suppose

one needs an

the backwash
remnants
of that
amber bottle
yonder,

again
akin to—
my too damp
too often
self consciousness

And
In understanding
every word
ever written —
will eventually,
rhyme
with decompose

I foreclose
on any
option
that doesn’t
afford
me
my due
