In Politics, It’s Always 1947

I would normally go to Twitter to chirp this, but I’ll give it a shot here before shutting this shit down….all this angst in releasing the so called “torture document,” is of little consequence because 95 percent of the country doesn’t  know that the US is not a democracy, or a Republic, or even a God Damn Nation State. You live in, pay taxes to, and have been governed by a National Security State since codified by law in 1947. It was an Act of Congress and signed by a President of the United States. What do you think Eisenhower, the first POTUS to navigate the national security state, was warning about in his farewell address.

If you don’t know the history of The National Security Act of 1947 and subsequent revisions, you have little chance in understanding how this country is governed, managed, and what its permanent security bureaucracy has been licensed to do and what they are capable of. But why does any of this matter. It’s all done in your name, whether you appreciate it or not.

I’m spry yet retired. I reside in the inner city of a major metropolitan area of the United States. I read politics. I watch baseball. I hum along with the tune. I June swoon, and moon the bad poem. Post here, are old and new. Opinions are my very own, except when wrong.
